U.S. forces shot down an Iranian Shahed 139 drone in the Arabian Sea as it approached the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier. According to CENTCOM, the drone made "unnecessary maneuvers" toward the ship, despite de-escalation attempts.

An American F-35C shot down the drone in self-defense. The incident occurred approximately 500 miles (800 kilometers) from the southern coast of Iran. No injuries or damage to U.S. equipment were reported.

Earlier, Iranian warships harassed a U.S.-flagged commercial vessel in the Strait of Hormuz. The destroyer USS McFaul (DDG 74) responded and escorted the ship to safety.

The UK Maritime Trade Operations also reported an attempted obstruction of a ship in the area.
