US and Russia Exchange Nuclear Threats

Discussions about the war in Ukraine are escalating with threats and military movements, while the atmosphere between Washington and Moscow remains tense. US President Donald Trump announced that he will send two US nuclear submarines to appropriate areas, reacting to posts by former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev.
Donald Trump did not specify whether these are nuclear-powered submarines or nuclear weapons, nor did he mention the exact location of their deployment. He stated that he is prepared for any eventuality, stressing that a threat comes from a former Russian president.
The announcement was made via the Truth Social platform, where he stated that his decision was made «in case these foolish and inflammatory statements are not just words.»
The feud between the two men has escalated, with Trump calling Medvedev a «failed former president» and Medvedev claiming that Trump is «playing the game of ultimatums with Russia.»
The Kremlin has not commented on Donald Trump's moves, while Vladimir Putin stated that he wants a «lasting and stable peace» in Ukraine, without allowing room for concessions.
