Iran Suspends Attacks Against Neighboring Countries

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian announced that the country's interim governing council has approved the suspension of attacks against neighboring countries, unless the Islamic Republic is attacked by those countries.
Pezeshkian stated, "I apologize to the neighboring countries." He made it clear that his country will not surrender to the United States and Israel. "The enemies will have to take to the grave with them their desire for the surrender of the Iranian people," he said in a speech.
The announcement was made on March 7, 2026.
