Iran-USA: Disagreements on Sanctions Against Tehran

Iran and the United States have differing views regarding the mechanism for lifting sanctions against Tehran in exchange for restrictions on its nuclear program, according to a senior Iranian official.

Talks are ongoing, with the possibility of reaching an interim agreement. The Iranian Foreign Minister expects an Iranian counter-proposal to be ready within days, following negotiations in Geneva.

The US President warned that Iran must agree on its nuclear program, or "bad things" will happen, giving a 10-day deadline before potential military action.
