Iran: Advisor Warns Trump on Strait of Hormuz

An advisor to the speaker of the Iranian parliament has warned Donald Trump, issuing a 20-hour ultimatum regarding the Strait of Hormuz. Mahdi Mohammadi, an advisor to Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, wrote on the X platform that if Trump does not back down, “his allies will return to the Stone Age.”

Mohammadi claimed that Iran has won the war and will only accept an outcome that consolidates its gains and creates a new security regime in the region. He also warned of consequences, including the expansion of the US military operation in the region.

According to reports, Trump has given a deadline of midnight on Wednesday (Greenwich time) for Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, or face consequences.

The Strait of Hormuz is a strategically important sea passage for global energy trade.
