Iran Designates European Armies as 'Terrorist Organizations'

The speaker of the Iranian parliament, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, announced today that Iran considers European armies to be 'terrorist organizations.' This declaration follows the European Union's decision to designate the Revolutionary Guards as a 'terrorist organization'.
Ghalibaf told parliament that, according to Article 7 of the counter-measures law, the armies of European countries are now considered terrorist organizations. He and the members of parliament wore Revolutionary Guards uniforms in solidarity.
The immediate consequences of this decision are not yet clear.
