Spain: Global Sumud Flotilla Returns to Barcelona Due to Weather

A flotilla named Global Sumud Flotilla, consisting of dozens of ships bound for the Gaza Strip, was forced to return to Barcelona due to adverse weather conditions. The flotilla carries humanitarian aid and activists.

Activists on board the ships include Greta Thunberg and Game of Thrones actor Liam Cunningham.

The organizers of the initiative stated that the flotilla returned to port to avoid problems with the smaller vessels, as the winds were blowing at speeds of up to 50 km/h. It is not yet known when the journey will continue. The activists aim to break the naval blockade of Israel and deliver food and supplies.
