Israel: Military Attorney General Detained Over Video Leak

Israel's Military Attorney General, Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi, has been detained in connection with the leak of a video showing the abuse of Palestinian prisoners. The Minister of Internal Security, Itamar Ben-Gvir, announced the detention.
Tomer-Yerushalmi had announced her resignation on Friday and disappeared on Sunday, sparking speculation about a possible suicide attempt. Police and rescue teams were searching for her near Tel Aviv, where her abandoned car was found.
Ben-Gvir stated that the correctional service has taken increased measures for Tomer-Yerushalmi's safety at the detention center.
