Israeli Minister Proposes Annexing West Bank

Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has proposed annexing the West Bank in response to the recognition of a Palestinian state by countries such as Australia, Canada, and Britain.

In a statement, Ben-Gvir stated that this move is a direct response to the recognitions and that he intends to submit a relevant proposal to the cabinet. Earlier this month, Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich had presented a similar proposal for the annexation of 82% of the West Bank.
