Historic Economic Agreement Between Israel and India: Details

Amidst international restrictions on economic relations with Israel, a new agreement with India is expected to be signed soon. India, with a population of approximately 1.5 billion, has announced the upcoming signing of a broad economic cooperation agreement with Israel.
According to a Ynetnews report, a high-level Israeli economic delegation, led by Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, will travel to India. The delegation also includes the ministry's director-general, Ilan Rom, and other officials.
The finance ministries of Israel and India have been working to boost investment and bilateral trade. The agreement is expected to generate billions of dollars in trade and exchange of know-how.
The agreement aims to boost investor confidence through mutual safeguards. Israel will be the first Western country with which India institutionalizes such guarantees.
