Italy Presses for Compromise in Ukraine: 'Kyiv Knows'

Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto, in an interview with Corriere della Sera, stated that Kyiv knows the compromise it will be forced to sign, referring to the potential concession of territories. The statement comes after a teleconference with Donald Trump before his meeting with Vladimir Putin.
Crosetto emphasized that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy knows the 'red lines' and that Ukraine's goals must change after three years of war. 'He knows he cannot achieve everything, that he must find an intermediate solution between what would be right and what can be considered acceptable,' he said.
Regarding the Middle East, Crosetto called Netanyahu's plan 'detached from reality' and reiterated the need for a Palestinian state that coexists peacefully with Israel.
