Kallas: Ukraine Talks Need Ukraine-EU Participation

The European Union's foreign policy chief, Kaja Kallas, stated that talks to end the war in Ukraine will not be successful without the participation of Ukraine and Europe. Kallas referred to the efforts of US President Donald Trump to end the war.

"We are also working to convince our allies around the world that nothing can come of these meetings without the participation of Ukraine or Europe in them," Kallas told reporters after the meeting of the EU Foreign Affairs Council.

"The one who doesn't want the war to end is Russia. We must not be distracted... we must also make Russia want peace," added Kaja Kallas.
