Cambodia Demands Immediate Ceasefire with Thailand

Cambodia has demanded an "immediate and unconditional" ceasefire with Thailand during an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council. The meeting was called due to ongoing clashes between the two countries over disputed territories.

Cambodian Ambassador Tsi Kev stated that his country is seeking a peaceful resolution to the conflict. The clashes began after Thailand recalled its ambassador from Cambodia and announced it would expel the Cambodian ambassador from Bangkok. This followed an incident in which a Thai soldier lost his leg in a minefield in the disputed area.
