War Crime Allegations in Sudan

The European Union, the United Kingdom, and Canada have denounced the alleged commission of war crimes or crimes against humanity in Sudan.

In a statement, the European Commission condemned the atrocious violence against civilians, especially women and children, and all serious violations of international law. The 31 countries co-signing the statement are calling for a swift and impartial investigation.

The call for an immediate end to hostilities is reiterated. The war in Sudan has caused the deaths of tens of thousands of people and the displacement of 14 million.
