Kikilias-Ito: Greece and Japan Enhance Maritime and Technological Cooperation

The Greece–Japan Maritime Innovation Summit, held at the residence of the Japanese Ambassador in Athens, highlighted the strategic importance of Greek-Japanese relations in the maritime and technology sectors.

The event, co-organized by the Embassy of Japan and Weathernews Japan, underscored the collaboration between the two countries as significant maritime powers.

Minister of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy Vasilis Kikilias and Japanese Ambassador Ito Koichi, along with diplomats and representatives of the shipping industry, attended the event, highlighting the geoeconomic importance of the Athens-Tokyo maritime link.

Ito Koichi emphasized the ties between the two countries, stressing that shipping is a common cultural foundation and a strategic tool for stability.
