Kurds Concerned About Potential Syria-Israel Deal

Kurds in northeastern Syria have expressed strong concern about a potential dialogue and agreement between Damascus and Israel. A senior official of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) warned that such a development could lead to "new massacres against minorities."
According to the SDF, the Syrian regime seeks to consolidate itself by ignoring the rights of minorities, describing this model as a "copy-paste of Hamas' rule in Gaza." The statements highlight the gap between the Kurds of Syria and the regime of Bashar al-Assad.
The Kurdish official stressed that dialogue with Damascus is not progressing, and Kurdish forces are strengthening their readiness. The issue is gaining importance in light of geopolitical developments and the rise of Ahmad al-Sarah to the leadership of Syria.
