The Kremlin has dismissed allegations of Russian state involvement in the murder of Alexei Navalny as 'baseless.' Navalny's mother has demanded justice for her son, two years after his death.

Dozens of citizens gathered at Alexei Navalny's grave in Moscow, honoring his memory. An investigation by five European countries concluded that Navalny was poisoned with the toxin, epibatidine.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that the allegations are 'biased and baseless.' Navalny's mother stated that her son was murdered and demanded that those responsible be revealed.

In Russia, Alexei Navalny's organizations have been banned, and any public display of support is prosecuted. Alexei Navalny died in prison on February 16, 2024. The United Kingdom, Sweden, France, Germany, and the Netherlands have accused Moscow of the poisoning.

His widow, Yulia Navalnaya, stated that her husband's murder has now been scientifically proven. Vladimir Putin called Navalny's death a 'sad event'.
