Lavrov Wears 'USSR' Sweatshirt in Alaska for Trump-Putin Summit

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov arrived in Anchorage, Alaska, ahead of the summit between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin.

Lavrov was seen wearing a sweatshirt with the inscription 'CCCP,' the Russian abbreviation for the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR), causing a stir due to the historical significance of the Cold War.

Lavrov declined to make predictions about the outcome of the summit, stating that the Russian side would present its positions. He also expressed hope for a continuation of the 'constructive discussion' that had begun with US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff.

The Trump-Putin meeting is scheduled for 11:00 AM local time in Anchorage. Meanwhile, pro-Ukraine demonstrations took place in solidarity with Ukraine.
