TASS news agency published a video showing Lavrov entering a hotel in Anchorage. The choice of sweatshirt caused a stir due to the historical rivalry between the US and the Soviet Union.

Lavrov declined to predict the outcome of the meeting, stating that Russia would present its arguments. The Trump-Putin meeting will take place in Anchorage.

Meanwhile, protests took place in Anchorage demanding the presence of Ukraine in the talks.
