Lavrov Arrives in Alaska Wearing 'USSR' Sweatshirt

As the clock ticks down to the meeting between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin, officials are arriving in Anchorage.

A video by TASS shows Sergey Lavrov entering a hotel wearing a sweatshirt with the inscription 'CCCP', the Russian abbreviation for the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR).

The choice of clothing caused a stir due to the Cold War.

Lavrov declined to predict the outcome of the summit, stressing that Russia's position is clear.

The summit will take place at 11:00 local time in Anchorage. Residents protested the absence of Ukraine from the talks.
