White House: Melania Trump Intervened for Return of Children from Ukraine

The White House announced that six children from Ukraine will be returned to their families from Russia, following an intervention by Melania Trump.
According to the announcement, the former First Lady of the United States had sent a letter to Vladimir Putin, expressing her concern about the plight of children separated from their families due to the war.
A seventh child is expected to return to their family later this month. Ukraine claims that approximately 20,000 children have been illegally transferred to Russia and Belarus.
Melania Trump stated that reuniting children with their families remains one of the most important global issues.
Moscow denies the charges of illegal transfer of children, claiming that it is voluntarily removing people from war zones.
A UN investigation reports that the deportation and transfer of children from Ukraine by Russia constitutes a crime against humanity. The International Criminal Court has issued arrest warrants for Vladimir Putin and other Russian officials.
