Nicosia Expresses Deep Concern Over Gaza Operations Expansion

Nicosia has expressed deep concern over the announced expansion of operations in Gaza, warning of a worsening situation for civilians and escalation.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, via a post on the 'X' platform, reiterated the need for an immediate ceasefire, the release of hostages, and unimpeded humanitarian aid.

It stressed that Hamas must be disarmed, and the territorial status of Gaza must remain grounded in international law. Cyprus supports the two-state solution as the only viable path to peace and security.
