Lithuania to Provide Troops and Equipment for Ukraine Peace Mission

Lithuania has expressed its intention to provide troops and equipment for a potential peacekeeping mission in Ukraine, according to statements by the country's President, Gitanas NausÄda.
NausÄda stated on TV3: "We are ready to contribute with as many troops as the parliament allows for a peacekeeping mission and also with military equipment." Simultaneously, Sweden's Prime Minister, Ulf Kristersson, mentioned that Sweden wishes to contribute to providing security guarantees to Ukraine, offering aerial surveillance and naval resources, provided it is safe to do so.
Western countries are considering sending peacekeeping troops to Ukraine in the event of a peace agreement between Moscow and Kyiv.
