Lebanon Demands Israeli Troop Withdrawal – Macron Urges Averting War

Lebanon is demanding the withdrawal of Israeli troops from its territory, as well as the return of Lebanese prisoners and displaced persons, as part of negotiations with Israel, according to the Prime Minister.
In a joint press conference with French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris, the Lebanese Prime Minister stated that his country will need 500 million euros to address the humanitarian crisis over the next six months.
Macron stressed the need for the fragile ceasefire to continue and not to give cause for a resumption of the war, as the differences between the two sides cannot be resolved immediately.
Nawaf Salam referred to the talks to be held in Washington.
