Lebanon Approves Maritime Border Demarcation with Cyprus

The Lebanese Council of Ministers approved the demarcation of maritime borders with the Republic of Cyprus during its session on Thursday, October 23, under the country's president, Joseph Aoun, and with the participation of Prime Minister Nawaf Salam. The announcement was published on the official website of the Lebanese Presidency.
Lebanese Minister of Energy, Joe Sadegh, stated that the next step is to settle the demarcation of maritime borders with Syria.
Sources from the Cypriot Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry described the development as 'very positive'. More details are expected during the visit of the Lebanese Minister of Energy to Cyprus on November 10.
