Macron in Souda: 'An attack on Cyprus is an attack on Europe'

French President Emmanuel Macron stated from Souda that any attack on Cyprus is considered an attack on Europe. The statements were made after the trilateral meeting with Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Nikos Christodoulides in Cyprus.

Mr. Macron expressed his solidarity with the Greek people and emphasized the importance of cooperation between Greece and France in the field of defense and security. He also referred to the presence of the frigate "Kimono" in Cyprus, stressing that defense and security are in the service of friendship between peoples.

"I want to thank Greece for the perfect cooperation we had," said Emmanuel Macron, referring to the 2020 defense agreement.
