Macron to Present 'Scientific Evidence' in Court About Brigitte's Gender

Emmanuel Macron and Brigitte Macron plan to present 'scientific evidence' in a U.S. court to prove that Brigitte Macron is a woman, responding to claims spread by right-wing influencer Candace Owens.

The Macron family's lawyer stated that Brigitte Macron found the claims 'incredibly disturbing' and that they constitute a 'distraction' for the French President. Expert testimonies and photographic evidence will be presented.

The case originated from a 2021 YouTube video by French bloggers Amandine Roy and Natacha Rey. The Macrons initially won the defamation case in France, but the decision was overturned on appeal. In July, they filed a lawsuit against Owens in the U.S.

Emmanuel Macron told Paris Match that the legal action is to 'defend my honor' against false information spread with the intent to harm.
