Meloni: I Don't Have Enough Information on Iran

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni stated that she does not have enough information to take a position on the events in Iran. The statement was made in an interview with the Berlusconi television group.
Meloni emphasized that, apart from the Spanish Prime Minister, no other European leader has condemned the initiative, and no one is participating in the conflict. "I confirm that we are not part of the war and that Italy does not intend to get involved in this war," she added.
The head of the Italian government agreed with the statements of Defense Minister Guido Crosetto, noting that "everyone must face a framework in which the rules of international law have ceased to apply."
Meloni concluded by saying that the crisis has become structural, especially with the crisis in Ukraine, and wondered who should demand respect for international law, implying the United Nations.
