Merz: End to Ukraine war only through exhaustion of Russia

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz stated that he considers the end of the war in Ukraine through negotiations unlikely.

In an interview with a German newspaper, Friedrich Merz estimated that the end of the conflict will only come with the military or economic exhaustion of Russia. He added that logic and humanitarian arguments will not convince Vladimir Putin.
