King Charles Expresses Support for Ukraine

Britain's King Charles III sent a message of support to Ukraine on its Independence Day, calling for a "just and lasting peace" in the war.
According to a message posted by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Charles stated: "I continue to hope that our countries will be able to continue working closely together to achieve a just and lasting peace in Ukraine."
Zelensky thanked Charles for his words, calling them a "true inspiration," and expressed his gratitude to Britain for its support.
Furthermore, the British Ministry of Defence announced that the British army will continue to train Ukrainian soldiers until at least the end of 2026. More than 50,000 Ukrainian soldiers have already been trained on British soil.
British Defence Secretary John Healey stated: "We will continue to strengthen our support so that Ukraine can defend itself today and deter (an attack) tomorrow."
