Mitsotakis Contacts Netanyahu, Aoun on Middle East Developments

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis held telephone conversations with the President of Lebanon, Michel Aoun, and the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, regarding recent developments in the Middle East.

During the calls, Kyriakos Mitsotakis was briefed on the latest developments in Lebanon. He also acknowledged Israel's right to self-defense but stressed the need to avoid further escalation and the opening of a new front through ground operations in Southern Lebanon.

The communication with Benjamin Netanyahu also addressed the recent attack against the Republic of Cyprus and the defense support provided by Greece.
