Iran-Europe Talks in Istanbul Resume on Nuclear Program

Delegations from Iran and the E3 group (Germany, France, and Britain) are continuing talks in Istanbul today regarding the Iranian nuclear program. The meeting, at the level of Deputy Foreign Ministers, began at 08:30 (Greek time) at the Iranian consulate.
These talks are part of the first negotiations following the Israel-Iran conflict. The E3 seeks to increase pressure on Tehran, warning of the activation of the snapback mechanism and the reinstatement of UN sanctions if no progress is made.
Key demands from the Europeans include restoring access for UN inspectors to nuclear facilities and securing information on the fate of approximately 400 kilograms of uranium enriched to 60%. Tehran has terminated inspections by the IAEA, accusing it of malicious intentions.
The 2015 Vienna agreement (JCPOA) on Iran's nuclear program expires in mid-October.
