Turkey and Lockheed Martin in New Round of F-16 Talks

Turkey and Lockheed Martin are starting a new round of negotiations regarding the order of F-16 fighter jets, according to Bloomberg. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan appealed to Donald Trump for the F-16 Block 70 during their meeting in September.
Congress approved the sale of 40 F-16 Viper fighter jets to Turkey in February 2024. Turkey is also seeking access to the source code of the mission computer to integrate domestic systems.
The total amount of the agreement is unclear, but the price of F-16s varies depending on the technical specifications.
