A new round of talks between the United States and Iran is taking place today in Geneva. The aim of the talks is to resolve the long-standing dispute over Tehran's nuclear program and to avoid further military action against Iran by the United States.

U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff and U.S. President Donald Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, will participate in the talks with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.

It is recalled that the day before yesterday, Donald Trump stressed that the United States will not allow Tehran to acquire a nuclear weapon and left open the possibility of a US attack against Iran.

A spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry said that Tehran is participating seriously and flexibly in the third round of talks with the United States. The negotiations will focus on the Iranian nuclear program and the lifting of sanctions.
