Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has dismissed his chief of staff following a controversy over racist remarks against Moroccan Jews, whom he called "baboons."

Initially, Netanyahu stated that Ziv Agmon would remain in his position, but subsequently announced his dismissal and replacement by Ido Norden.

Ido Norden, the new head of the office, is already facing criticism from Israeli journalists, who accuse him of creating fake accounts on the X platform to promote his book.

In recent months, Netanyahu's office has faced several incidents, including the deposition of Jachi Braverman for allegedly obstructing an investigation and the Katargate affair.
