Donetsk: Casualties in Ukrainian Missile Strike, Luhansk Under Russian Control

A woman was killed in Donetsk by a Ukrainian missile strike, according to the Moscow-appointed head of local authorities. In neighboring Luhansk, officials asserted that the entire territory is under Russian control.

Denis Pushilin, the regional governor in Donetsk, reported that in addition to the death, two more people were injured. The attack was allegedly carried out with a Storm Shadow missile. There has been no confirmation from Kyiv.

Leonid Pasechnik, the regional governor of Luhansk, announced that the region is now under Russian control. Neither Moscow nor Kyiv has issued an official confirmation.

The Donetsk and Luhansk regions had been under the control of separatists since 2014. Vladimir Putin has declared the annexation of four Ukrainian regions, including Kherson and Zaporizhzhia, as well as Crimea.
