NYT: Netanyahu Orders Massive Strikes on Iran

According to the New York Times, Benjamin Netanyahu has ordered massive strikes on Iran within the next 48 hours, targeting military and weapons facilities. The decision was made after obtaining a copy of a 15-point American plan for a ceasefire.

Israeli officials believe that the USA may announce talks with Iran soon. The acceleration of attacks reflects Israel's concern that a ceasefire could be announced before its strategic goals are achieved.

Israel's three strategic goals are to neutralize Iran's ballistic missiles, prevent the development of nuclear weapons, and create conditions for internal political changes in Iran.

The order was given at a meeting in Tel Aviv, attended by top military officials.
