Trump to Visit Beijing on May 14-15

Donald Trump's official visit to Beijing will finally take place on May 14-15, the White House announced. The meeting between the American president and Xi Jinping was originally scheduled for late March to early April.
White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt stated that the Chinese president understood the need to reschedule the trip. Donald Trump confirmed the dates on his network, Truth Social, predicting the trip would be a “significant event.”
Melania and President Trump will also host President Xi and Madam Peng in Washington at a later date. The visit was postponed due to the war in the Middle East. Karoline Leavitt suggested that the conflict may be over by the time of the trip to China.
Trump's last trip to China was in 2017. The visit to Beijing will be the first face-to-face talks between the two leaders since their meeting in South Korea in October.
