Orbán: Europe Wants War in Ukraine Without Funding

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán stated that Europe desires the continuation of the war in Ukraine but lacks the necessary resources to finance it. The statements were made after an EU teleconference where the American peace plan for Ukraine was discussed.
Orbán emphasized that Hungary is not willing to mortgage the future of its grandchildren to finance a war that Ukraine cannot win.
Similarly, Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó argued that it would be in the interest of both Brussels and Kyiv to immediately accept the American peace plan, as the situation is constantly deteriorating.
Szijjártó added that European politicians seem to be contemplating how to hinder the adoption of this peace plan.
