Hungarian FM: EU Sanctions Hurt Europe More Than Russia

Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó stated before the United Nations General Assembly that EU sanctions on Ukraine are hurting Europe more than Russia. He also mentioned that Donald Trump is the only hope for peace in Ukraine.
Mr. Szijjártó noted that Hungary has received 1.3 million Ukrainian refugees, while energy and food prices have skyrocketed. He also emphasized that Hungary would rather pay a fine of one million euros per day to the European Commission than change its migration policy.
The President of Georgia, Mikheil Kavelashvili, sided with Ukraine, underlining his country's unwavering support for the Ukrainian people.
The President of North Macedonia, Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, described the Russian attack on Ukraine as a flagrant violation of the UN Charter.
The President of Yemen called on the international community to act against the Houthis, whom he described as armed by the Iranian regime.
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni stressed the need for realistic UN reform for transparency and effectiveness.
