Kyiv has developed remote-controlled drones capable of striking targets at long range, according to Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov.

Fedorov stated that Ukraine now has a thriving drone manufacturing industry, with an emphasis on interceptor drones. These drones can be guided from a great distance, even thousands of kilometers away.

The Defense Minister mentioned that the use of these drones increases the effectiveness of interceptions, minimizes the risk to operators, and expands the range of operations. Ukrainian forces announced that they intercepted 31 missiles and 636 drones last week, but 12 missiles and 20 unmanned aircraft hit their targets.

Estimates suggest the production of 4.5 million drones in the past year, with forecasts for an even greater number this year. Ukraine has signed agreements with European countries for the joint production of weapons systems and has offered assistance to countries in the Middle East.
