Ukraine Unveils New 'Flamingo' Missile with 3,000 km Range

Ukraine has unveiled a new cruise missile, the 'Flamingo,' with a range of 3,000 kilometers, capable of hitting targets deep within Russia. According to the Economist, even if only half of the specifications are accurate, the missile could influence peace talks.
Fire Point, the company that developed the missile, began mass production within nine months. The missile, with a warhead weighing over one ton, has provoked reactions in Russia.
The development of the Flamingo began in 2024, after the US refusal to provide Tomahawk missiles. Fire Point drew inspiration from older missile models, such as the German V-1 and the Soviet Strizh.
Details regarding the Flamingo are limited, but a similar version named 'FP5' was presented at a defense exhibition in the United Arab Emirates. The company declined to comment further for security reasons.
Production is currently one missile per month, with plans to increase to seven by October. The cost per unit is under one million dollars.
