Pakistan Thanks Trump for Ceasefire Extension

Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his "sincere thanks" to U.S. President Donald Trump for extending the ceasefire between the U.S. and Iran. The extension allows diplomatic efforts to continue.

Sharif expressed hope that both sides will continue to observe the ceasefire and reach a comprehensive "Peace Agreement" during the second round of talks scheduled to be held in Islamabad.

President Trump announced the extension via Truth Social, giving the "divided Iranian leadership" time to submit a "unified proposal."

Meanwhile, the White House announced that U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance will not travel to Islamabad as planned.
