Pope Leo XIV: 'Trump's threat against Iran is unacceptable'

Pope Leo XIV has described Trump's threat against Iran as 'unacceptable', stressing that it is a moral issue concerning the good of the entire people.
'Today, as we all know, we had this threat against the entire people of Iran. This is truly unacceptable. There is certainly a matter of international law here, but much more. It is a moral issue for the good of the entire people,' the pontiff said, departing from Castel Gandolfo.
Pope Leo XIV also called for consideration of the hearts of innocent people, children and the elderly who may be victims of the escalation of a war.
