Pope Francis Calls for End to 'Pandemic of Weapons'

Pope Francis has called for an end to the 'pandemic of weapons,' expressing his sorrow for the children killed and injured worldwide. The statement was made during the weekly prayer in St. Peter's Square, in the Vatican.

The pontiff also urged no indifference to the war in Ukraine, following the attack in Kyiv. He reiterated his call for an immediate ceasefire and the start of dialogue.

Pope Francis also mentioned the armed attack at a school in Minnesota, in the USA, where two children were killed.
