Beijing Denies Nuclear Tests After Trump's Accusations

Beijing has strongly denied claims made by former US President Donald Trump that China is conducting nuclear tests.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning stated that China follows a path of peaceful development and a defensive nuclear strategy, while adhering to its commitment to a moratorium on nuclear testing.
These statements come in response to recent remarks by Donald Trump, who alleged that Russia and China are carrying out secret nuclear weapons tests.
Mao Ning called on the US to take measures to safeguard the international disarmament and non-proliferation system, as well as to maintain global strategic stability.
Donald Trump had stated that the US should resume nuclear testing, as other countries, such as North Korea and Pakistan, are allegedly doing the same.
US Energy Secretary Chris Wright assured that any tests that may be carried out would not involve nuclear explosions, but would involve testing components of nuclear weapons.
