Putin Thanks Kim for North Korea's Help in Kursk

Vladimir Putin thanked Kim Jong Un for North Korea's assistance in the Kursk region. The meeting took place after the military parade in Beijing for the anniversary of World War II's end.
The Russian president mentioned that North Korean soldiers fought "bravely and heroically" in the "liberation" of the Kursk region. Kim Jong Un responded that helping Russia is a "fraternal duty."
The two leaders discussed strengthening their cooperation, within the framework of the June 2024 treaty, which provides for mutual assistance in case of attack. Mr. Kim had described the treaty as the "strongest of all time."
