Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump will meet today in Alaska, in a meeting expected to focus on Ukraine. Before arriving in Alaska, Putin made a stop in Magadan, where he visited a fish oil processing plant and met with Governor Sergei Nosov.

The meeting, the first face-to-face between the two leaders since 2018, will take place at Elmendorf Air Force Base in Anchorage. Trump has expressed reservations, warning that the meeting could be cut short if there is no willingness to compromise from Moscow.

Trump presented two scenarios for the outcome of the meeting: either a trilateral summit with Volodymyr Zelensky will follow to end the war in Ukraine, or there will be no "second" meeting if the first one fails.
