Palestinian Ambassador Calls for Pressure on Israel

The Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Cyprus, Abdalla Attari, called for international pressure on Israel to end its military operations in Gaza. The appeal was made during a press conference, where Mr. Attari participated in a symbolic hunger strike.

Mr. Attari emphasized the urgent humanitarian situation in Gaza, describing it as genocide and accusing the international community of silence. He also referred to the economic pressure exerted on the Palestinian Authority by Israel.

Ambassador Attari pointed out that Cyprus, due to its historical experience, understands the value of dignity and called on the Cypriot government to place the Palestinian issue on the priorities of its upcoming presidency of the European Council.

A support rally was held outside the embassy by Palestinians and other citizens.
