Russia to Send Oil to Cuba for 'Humanitarian' Reasons

Russia intends to send oil to Cuba as humanitarian aid, according to the newspaper *Izvestia*, due to fuel shortages faced by Cuba as a result of US pressure.
Russian diplomats stated that the shipment of oil and petroleum products will take place 'in the near future.' Cuba is facing an energy crisis, leading to a slowdown in activities and the imposition of measures such as a four-day work week and rationing for the sale of oil.
The situation worsened after the cessation of crude oil deliveries from Venezuela and US threats to impose tariffs on countries that supply oil to Cuba. Airlines, including Russian ones, have suspended flights to Cuba due to refueling difficulties.
